Hi, my name is Andrea Cordova and I attend the Manassas Campus. I started as an undergraduate at NOVA last fall without a clue about my future. I knew I really liked English, but I did not know what I could do with the subject. I am still looking at all of my options — one of them is becoming a middle school English teacher. In high school, I wanted to become an architect. I had said that I wanted to be an architect for as long as I could remember, but when I completed three years of courses on the subject in high school I realized I did not want to pursue the field. I was doing it because my parents wanted me to. I currently work at a daycare and apply my Hispanic background to help translate. During the school year, I help kids with homework and I have tutored children with special needs. I hope to use this blog to offer a different perspective on a variety of topics.

Welcome, Andrea!
Seeing Andrea here is such a pleasure. Not only did she complete a civic engagement assignment for her PLS 211 class by becoming a blogger, she will (I hope) encourage discussion of current politics and policy issues. Congratulations Andrea.
